Cheers!

T.G.I.F. - I feel like these weeks go by so quick. I'm buried in so much homework that time flies. I'm actually liking it though. I have one tough class and that is Math: It's the worst subject for me and I try to avoid it at all costs. I absolutely love my English class; We get to watch movies and play video games but there's always a catch, you have to write about them. It's really not bad at all. We have to watch or play something we've never saw before and I'm watching the television series of House and I don't regret it. If you get the chance check it out, it plays on Fox on Monday's at 8pm.

I get to watch my favorite band in the world in concert on April 14th, Jack's Mannequin. They're a band from Orange County, California. Andrew McMahon (lead singer) he's a mad man on the piano. Absolutely amazing. I'm pumped to see them, I've seen them a number of times already. They're a up-and-coming band, they have a couple of videos that made it to MTV. Their most recent is "The Resolution." That's where I got the title to my revamped blog. Check them out on YouTube.

I'm a huge Cincinnati Bengals fan. I get on their web sit everyday and hope to find that they've picked up someone good on the offseason. Recently, that has been the case and things look to be positive. We have been known to have a few mishaps in the offseason and just today one of those came about. Leon Hall (safety) was picked up in Ohio for DUI. I mean, come on! After what happen to Dante Stallworth from the Browns (if you didn't know...He was drinking and driving and killed a 59 year old guy in Florida) You would think he would know better. All I really want is the Bengals to have a good season, at least make it to the playoffs. Every year I say this is going to be our break out season but I really do feel that way. Carson Palmer is back. Chad Ocho Cinco might be on his way to the Oakland Raiders. However, we did lose T.J. Houshyomomma but we are on a good path. I will always be a Bengals fan....WHO-DEY!

I'm also a big Lakers fan. Kobe Bryant is the man. I do like the Cavs and I'll have to say only because the King, LeBron James but who would like them if he wasn't on the team? Anyways, there both duking it out for the best team in the NBA but I don't think there fit to put up a fight with the L.A. Lakers.

Need a good laugh? play.

That's it. Have a great Easter weekend, if anyone is even paying attention. haha.

Cheers!

Everything's going to be alright

I woke up today thinking mother nature would have dumped a pile of snow on my front porch. This wasn't the case. She likes to throw a curve ball and make it 55 degrees; when yesterday it was 30-40 degrees outside. She's a crazy lady I tell ya.

I was over at my school today and you could get 2 free OSU Spring game tickets. They started passing them out about 12:30. I got there about 5 minutes before and the line was forever long. Now, the tickets are only $5 BUT at the school you can get them for FREE and you get TWO. The game gets bigger and bigger each year. I've never been to a game and it'd be nice to go and see them up close. They are selling them again next Wednesday...maybe I'll have better luck next time around.

I have a teacher whose friend past away yesterday and I can relate to such a feeling. It's by all means tough. It's crazy how life works. A person who you may talk to every day, see every day is gone in an instant. It's hard to deal with especially when you've got a job to do. You have keep on going because you can't get behind. But the feeling doesn't go away for awhile and you can't stop thinking about those times with that person. I had a grandma pass away a couple of years ago: she didn't die from old or anything. She just past away. It just happened, but why? It's just mind boggleing. I hope all goes well for my teacher and that he knows that his friend is in a much better place now. Time heals all.

I'm ready for the weekend. I'm hoping that it is warm for Easter Sunday. I miss the family. We all use to be so close and things kind of seem like there falling a part. I won't be seeing my mom this weekend; it's hard to tell what's going on in her life right now. I'm just going to let it all play out and hope everything works for the best. There's nothing I can do about anything so why try to turn the tide. I've got my brother's and sometimes I think that is the most important because some people have no one at all. I've got to look at the things I have, not the things I don't. I pray that my mom can come to realize what she wants in life. My brother's and I have gotten real close to my step dad and it'd be weird not to have him around anymore. Things will be okay, I believe.

That's it for today, folks.

Cheers!

Keep on, keepin' on!

First things first. It's April and it's been snowing. Not a lot of snow but that's besides the point. It's April! Last time I checked, Spring=warm weather, flowers, and showers. None of this really surprizes me, we live in Ohio: where if you don't like the weather...just wait 15 minutes.

I've started my second week of Spring quarter and so far so good but what is tough about college is life's little problems that come with it. However, I can say that colllege is 20x better than high school but the real world sets in and it's much more hectic. Some kids may still live with their parents and by all means DO IT! Living on your own is tough; bills pyle up and there's always something that needs to be bought. Don't get me wrong it's great to be on your own and away from your parents. You can come and go as you please and do whatever it is you want. I just find it hard to go to college day in and day out, do my homework, keep the apartment in one piece, and keep the roommates from being a distraction from my work. Moreover, I have learned that with self-disapline and dedication I can do it all. Keep on keepin' on!

I've recently been through hell in back in the past couple of weeks. My mom and step dad are getting a divorce. Now I know that many, many kids go through this but this will be my second time around. For reasons unknown it's tough for me because when you think things are good, their usually not. My mom has been married to my step dad for 10 years or so and in my mind I thought they had a perfect marriage; till recently I've come to find out that things arn't so peachy keen. I have two older brother's who have known about my parents situation for about a month or so now and I've been left in the dark. So everything has come to hit me all at once. I'm not the type of guy who wears his emotions on his sleeve but this crap is just eating me alive. I just want things to be okay, really, that's it. But that's all fantasy, things will get harder before they get better. How many times have you heard that in your life? Seems like that goes for just about everything. I pray that things go well for the next couple of months. My brother's are my best friends and sometimes I think that they're the only family I've got left.

Alright, from the looks of things it looks like I wrote a novel. I probably won't get many people to read my blog but if all else fails I can write down my emotions instead of keeping them in. Plus, it helps me with my writing for English.

Inspirational quote of the day: Keep on keepin' on!

Cheers!

Final Blog

First I will start off by mentioning that blogging for me wasn’t a new concept coming into this class. I guess the main reason why I liked to blog was because I was never really criticized for my writing. I wrote about whatever it is I wanted and people would read it. Throughout our 10 week course we wrote a post once a week. After posting your blog post you would comment on each other’s blogs. I found this course to be a great experience. I wasn’t the best writer coming into the class but with the teacher and other students around me they could help me critique my writing and making it worth reading; I’ve put more effort into my papers as well as my posts. Blogging can be a great experience for many people because it lets you talk about whatever it is you want and people will more than likely read it.

Blogs are good for a lot of reasons: One being that if you are not a person who speaks out loud and never gives an opinion then blogging works to your advantage. They’re your words and your thoughts. They’re no limits when it comes to blogging. If people like what you have to say they will read it and come back for more. You might even run into people who will criticize your thoughts but not everyone is going to like what you have to say.

The people who read blogs are the ones who probably love to write and read: People who have many things on their mind and love to give their opinion and beliefs. I can say that I read blogs because I am interested in what people what to say. I am an open-minded person and will listen to just about anyone’s thoughts. I know that when I write a post it’s like your thoughts are at the tip of your fingers and you can write about whatever it is you want. There are no restrictions; your mind and a keyboard. I feel that it can reach out to people. Many people in the internet world have a knack for blogging (Check out Truth Percieved for a great example). They’re so good at what they do that they have levels for how good your blog is.

I know from my experience that blogging has its cons: I will read just about anyone’s blog but one thing that turns me away from the very beginning is poor grammar. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t know it all but clear and concise writing will keep a reader going along. If you have misspelled words and a lot of slang you may not stick around for too long. Another con would be that anyone can comment on your blog; this may result in someone leaving a rude or negative comment. This could cause you to lose your since of confidence as a blogger.

To blog or not to blog, that is the question. There really isn’t any harm in blogging in my opinion. This blogosphere allows you to open your mind and speak your thoughts. It can’t be a great stress reliever: letting you just pour out your thoughts. Blogging to me has helped me practice my writing; the more I want to write about the more I will learn. I guess the most important thing about a blog is that it connects you with people around the world: whatever it is you’re blogging about, someone out there feels that same way. You can build many relationships with people that may become loyal to your blog and leave comments to you just about every day.

That’s all folks!

Enjoy the Spring – I know I will!

Cheers!

My Blogger Experience

In one of our blog assignments we were assigned to take on a role of another person’s blog. We would write a post, send it to that person and they would post it on their blog. Once every one had posted their blog, we would have to guess whose was whose. I found this to be quite interesting because it let us step out of the box and play a different role.

My role was kind of tough for me. I had to talk about a guy and his Christian faith. I’m not a church goer or acquainted well enough to know the bible. However, his posts were always interesting and worth reading. His blog was titled, Are We Living in the End of Times? Each week he would talk about how people believe that we are living in the end of times. There was always something that would make you think, “Wow, maybe we are.” I loved reading them because it seemed like a whole bunch of myths that actually had some comparison to what is going on in our world today. His blog was one of the one’s I would go to read first because I knew I could find it interesting and could learn about the Christian faith.

When it came time to write a post for Brandon the creator of Are We Living in the End of Times? I knew I could write a post similar to his writing technique. He makes little to no errors at all and the flow of his posts just seem to work well. The easiest part about writing a post for Brandon was he didn’t really ever do anything that would jump out at you or try to get your attention. He was very straightforward and never really put any of his opinions. So really all I had to do was be precise with my grammar and give the beliefs of what some people believe to be the end of times.

All in all it was a fun experience to step out of the norm.

This is the final post for the class, however I do plan on continuing.

Cheers!

The Guest Blogging Experiment

Hey guys!!!

Well it’s Friday which is always a plus. I’m ready for the weekend but before I start my weekend off I’m going to tell you a little more about my favorite person Kalea. Her smile just lights up the room and when I’m with her I feel like no one else is around us. We have a special relationship that no one can come between. Every time I hang out with her I still get butterflies.

Kalea’s personality is like no one I’ve ever met before. We have so much fun when we are together and we never fight. We think so much alike and have the time we can finish each other’s sentences. We have so many great memories together and many many more to come. I would do anything for kalea and I know that she would do the same for me. It’s the best feeling to have someone you care about and know that they care about you to.

Well that all I have until next week!
